Our history
VentriJect’s journey began in 2018 as a pioneering spin-out from Aalborg University’s esteemed cardiology research center. The company was born from the innovative work of Kasper Sørensen, who is now the CTO of VentriJect. During his Ph.D. project focused on Seismocardiography, Sørensen co-developed the groundbreaking Seismofit device, a project that was greatly influenced by the expertise and mentorship of Samuel Schmidt, who has since taken on the role of Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). This collaboration laid the foundation for VentriJect’s mission to revolutionize cardiac health through cutting-edge technology.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As the CEO of VentriJect, Mikkel is involved many aspects of our business – ranging from regulatory to sales. Especially the commercial piece is close to Mikkel’s heart, as he brings more than a decade of experience working within the MedTech industry in roles focused on commercialization and strategy.

Chief Operations Officer (COO) and

Peter has accumulated more than three decades of experience in the MedTech industry, which is very valuable for us at the VentriJect team. On a day-to-day basis, Peter is responsible for the production of our Seismofit solution.

Peter Søgaard
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and

With more than 30 years of cardiology experience, Peter brings a lot of value to the VentriJect team and to our customers. As the CMO of VentriJect, Peter supports the team with expertise and research.

Kasper Sørensen
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and
co-founder
Kasper performed some of the first clinical trials in the development of the Seismofit, during his PhD studies.
Today, he is the CTO of VentriJect, and is responsible for the entire technology behind the Seismofit solution. Furthermore, he is also responsible for our support and regulatory efforts.

Samuel Schmidt

Samuel’s expertise in seismocardiography is well-recognized globally, and as the CSO of VentriJect, Samuel is the overall responsible for the brain behind the Seismofit solution: Our algorithm.
